Course Objective

The course aims to provide comprehensive training on the production, issuance, and management of kits, emphasizing efficient sterilization processes and handling of reusable items.

By the end of the course, participants will be proficient in all aspects of kit production, issuance, sterilization, and management, ensuring the safe and effective utilization of resources within healthcare settings using HIS.

Course Outline
  • Optimization of functions within the central sterile supply/services department, covering reception, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of sterilized materials.
  • Ensuring a consistent, efficient, and high-quality supply of sterilized materials to various hospital departments.
  • Tracking movements of items within the department to facilitate efficient inventory management.
  • Managing the production and distribution of kits, including OT kits, to different departments as needed.
  • Monitoring the sterilization process of reusable items to maintain safety standards.
  • Recording consumptions, returns, and laundry transactions to control inventory effectively.
  • Generating labels for kits and managing kit issuance to patients as required.
  • Handling pharmacy requests for kits to support overall hospital operations.
